What You Need To Install To Be A Galaxy Radio DJ

Do the following in this exact order:

1.     Go to: https://www.winamp.com and download Winamp version 5.8
         I suggest rebooting after installation.
         Get familiar with the program, adjust your equalizer to your preferences.

Make sure Winamp isn’t running before proceeding.

2.      You now need some C++ library
         http://www.altacast.com/download/vcredist2010_x86.exe
         I suggest rebooting after completion.

3.      Once Step 2. is complete, install the winamp plugin from Altacast
         http://www.altacast.com/download/altacastwinamp1.1.exe

         It will want to install to C:Program FilesWinamp.
         This needs to be changed as it will not work if placed into this folder.

         Click on browse and select the Program Files (x86)
         It should now show C:Program Files (x86)Winamp as location and click ok.
         Follow the steps on screen for the rest of the installation.

4.      Start up Winamp and you will get the Altacast plugin open with Winamp.
         If you don’t get the extra screen, the plugin is in the wrong folder.
         On the config screen of the Altacast plugin, add an encoder, and enter the following setup info.





         bitrate: 320
         Encoder Type: MP3
         Server Type: Icecast2
         Server IP: radio.torrentgalaxy.su
         Server Port: 25375
         Encoder Password: will be supplied
         Mountpoint: /stream

5.      Scroll down to the encoder you added earlier and right click on it
         Then select the YP settings tab on top.
         Make sure public server is unchecked.
         Empty all the text boxes and set Stream Description to Galaxy Radio
         Enter the following settings:



         Its important Stream Description is filled with something, otherwise song info won't show in the TGx lobby.
         Click ok and go back to the Altacast page and click on connect

Looks like a good schedule Mike.All get their share of being a DJ.
It's great to have that many DJs as we are pretty well live now 24/7 with current team we have.
