Would ISOs still be useful?

This is probably a silly question these days, but I'm wondering if DVD/blu-ray ISOs would still be useful for people.  I actually still like to use optical media for movies & TV shows sometimes; I like that the format holds quite a bit of data, and you don't have to worry about losing quality through compression.  I also like the extras that often come on blu-ray and DVD.  I built a new PC last year and bought a 4K/UHD blu-ray burner for it.  I've spent a lot more time ripping than burning discs with it (and I'm glad I have something to rip 4K movies with), but sometimes I'm interested in finding an ISO of a blu-ray movie, and ISO torrents seem hard to find.  I did find one blu-ray ISO of a concert I wanted to see not too long ago, which was cool.

I thought about ripping some entire movie ISOs and providing torrents for them, but I imagine not many people would be looking for ISOs.  But on the other hand, I wouldn't mind being able to find some ISOs myself and exchanging ISOs with people.  Blu-ray, 4K blu-ray, and 3D movie ISOs would be cool.

Good question, be interesting to hear any feedback on this thread

There is a least one uploader on the site that does upload ISOs, looking at the stats on such uploads the amount
of downloads is small compared to other video file uploads.
The cost of burnable bluray discs is also another hurdle you might want to consider as unlike burnable DVDs they are expensive
If you intend to do this can you contact me or another admin first as it's normally reserved for Trusted uploaders
as is all compressed files, but permission can be granted.

ISO's for Blu Ray movies would be kinda big lol same with DVD's and audio cd's. Your looking at anywhere from 25 gb per layer for blu ray, 4gb to 8gb for dvds and around 804mbs for cd's. Could you image the space one would have to have for all those rips if they ripped in JUST ISO format lossless compression all the time lol not to mention the extra data that would come with those besides the main titles your ripping/extracting. Also CD-DA tracks are basically uncompressed PCM files so 30 to 50mb per song/track. Now keep in mind the output files of your dvd/bluray isos all would depend on number of titles, length of each track/title/scene and if there are extras, subtitle files and so on. All this will play into total file size in the end so rip wisely lol but yeah ISOs are totally useful imo (if you have the storage space or money for expanding your storage space) why not have the original format.

You dont need ISOs to get the original video stream.
There are programs that will extract the video without [further] compression.

The resulting files are quite big though.
I recall pulling some TV episodes off a Bluray a few months ago, and the files were about 8/9 GB each.
