 | Weren't there a few shows with "The #" titles released around the same time? Like The 100, The 4400 (I think that one even got a remake with the same name), etc.? I know that messed me up for a while and the promos for them all started to run together in my head. Only one I ended up watching was The 100.  |

| 1883 1923 corresponds to the Yellowstone prequel so you know the period in the Duttons' history you are witnessing, 1917 is because 90% of war movies are about WWII so you know that this is about WWI and I still haven't seen 1899 but I think that the year is going to be important because it is the turn of the century. |

| I agree with you OP, just the year alone is silly and uninformative! I nearly missed the Yellowstone prequel show named xxxx as the title alone made me overlook dl'ing it. Fortunately, I came across a review of it on another website which explained what the show was about, Shld have called it Yellowstone xxxx |
