In un castello tedesco convengono, ospiti del conte Rland e di sua moglie Eugénie, Isabella, consorte del banchiere Loewensdhal e una coppia di avventurieri, Manuel Da Silva e la sua amante. Unitasi controvoglia, e per interesse, a un uomo che non ama, Isabella si concede, la sera stessa, a Manuel, che con un'abile trovata riesce a ingannare Loewensdhal, sopraggiunto all'improvviso e convinto di sorprendere la moglie in flagrante adulterio.
In a German castle they agree, guests of Count Rland and his wife Eugenie, Isabella, consort of the banker Loewensdhal and a couple of adventurers, Manuel Da Silva and his lover. Joining reluctantly, and out of interest, to a man who does not love, Isabella grants herself, the same evening, to Manuel, who with a clever stunt succeeds in deceiving Loewensdhal, suddenly arrived and convinced to surprise his wife in flagrant adultery.
