analogkid speaks:
Of course purists have issues with this period of Yes cause of the sway to more of a commercial bent. Myself I knew they did what they had to regenerate interest in them and the music. Well done as they are still active and relevant today where many are not. And the final word...
Legal rights to the name Yes
At the time of Chris Squire's death, the band name Yes was co-owned by Anderson, Howe, Squire and longtime Yes drummer Alan White. During Squire's lifetime, he and Anderson had informally agreed that only Squire's group would use the name Yes. In 2018, Anderson stated that Squire's wife Scotland had suggested that both groups could use the name Yes after Squire's 2015 death from leukemia. Anderson went on to say there had been no legal conflicts between the two groups over the use of the name.
Theres that.
