#1 - Legends speak of wizards with the power to rival Gods…
To Hump, it’s just a story. Apprenticed to a wandering wizard, he grew up following the coin from one quest to the next. He always believed his master was just an ordinary hedge wizard, until the old man suddenly died, and his book of spells bound to Hump’s soul.
Knowing no other life, Hump takes up his master’s staff and heads out alone into a world of dungeons and monsters. Scorned by the gods, wizards can trust only their own wit and skill to survive.
Lacking the godly gifts and grand ideals of the Chosen few, Hump fights for something else. If he wants to eat, he needs to work. And with a new Dungeon opening in Bledsbury, where better for a young hedge wizard to earn some coin?
So begins the path of The Wanderer. The White Flame. The Hedge Wizard.
#2 - Hump triumphed over the challenges of Bledsbury Dungeon, but it wasn’t without a cost...
Imprinted by the soul of the Wolf Dragon, Hump must master this new power or risk being consumed by it. The soul is a fragile thing, and he fears what part of himself might have been lost...
But with the threat of the Dragon Keeper Trials looming, he must find a way to get stronger. Fast.
In need of help to further his training, Hump and his party go in search of one of his fallen master's old wizard acquaintances. What they find instead is a town beseeched by otherworldly spirits. Its people are being taken, and the adventurers who went to their aid are missing.
If Hump is to survive, he will need all the newfound strength he can muster. The price may just be his humanity.
#3 - Scarred by the Remnant Realm, Hump must reclaim his soul...
Hump and his companions return to Sheercliff City to find a region plagued by monsters—bad news for most, but for a hedge wizard, it's just good business.
With the gorger dead, and the bond with his unhatched dragon growing quickly, Hump looked forward to some ordinary adventures. Yet trouble finds him as the Inquisition arrives, accusing him of his master's murder. It seems there is more to the old man's death than he believed.
Countess Daston offers him a way out—in exchange for her protection, his party is enlisted to fight the monster surge. Warlocks walk the city streets, and newly spawned dungeons threaten the city's existence. To survive, Hump must consolidate his strength and delve deeper into the potential of the Book of Infinite Pages.
The White Flame will be born.
#4 - The Battle of Sheercliff is over. The Dragon Keeper Trials await.
With the newly hatched Nishari at his side, it is finally time for Hump to face his fate in Drakalyn, home of the wolf dragons, but to get there he must venture through the Fallen Lands—a realm lost to dungeons and monsters.
Only, time is not on his side.
The Book of Infinite Pages has awoken, and if Hump fails to master his manifested soul, others will seek to claim it. Even in these distant lands, a new danger approaches, and it seeks the blood of a goddess. The Dragon Keepers are all that stand between Celaine’s people and death.
The White Flame must blaze again.
#5 - The White Flame returns home, friends reunite, and the Infernal Halls await.
Hump proved himself in the Dragon Keeper Trials, wielded the winds of earth to vanquish a lich queen, and received answers from a goddess. Yet those answers left him burdened with an even deeper mystery.
Returning to Alveron, Hump and Celaine reunite with old friends as a greater danger rises. The Fallen lands creep closer, spreading their corruption, but it is not only monsters they must fear. Warlocks conspire to bring their forgotten gods back to power, and they will bargain with even demons to succeed.
As word of the Book of Infinite Pages echo across the realm, ancient enemies set their sights on Hump, craving its secrets.
Its successor must be named.
