In the Battle of Thermopylae of 480 BC an alliance of Greek city-states fought the invading Persian army in the mountain pass of Thermopylae. Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held back the enemy in one of the most famous last stands of history. Persian King Xerxes led a Army of well over 100,000 (Persian king Xerxes before war has about 170,000 army) men to Greece and was confronted by 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians, and 400 Thebans. Xerxes waited for 10 days for King Leonidas to surrender or withdraw but left with no options he pushed forward. After 3 days of battle all the Greeks were killed. The Spartan defeat was not the one expected, as a local shepherd, named Ephialtes, defected to the Persians and informed Xerxes that the separate path through Thermopylae, which the Persians could use to outflank the Greeks, was not as heavily guarded as they thought.
300 - Open Matte (2006) 2160p, Ai-upscaled from a 1080p "Hybrid" Blu-Ray as the source. I then increased the framerate from the default 24fps, to 60fps via SVP 4 PRO + TensorRT RIFE 4.15 :)

I used Nyx (SLOW) on this one as it was possibly the grainiest film I have ever worked on. The result is mostly awesome, but still, it isn't perfect. Particularly, at around 6.5 minutes in. Hope you all enjoy it!
THIS WAS NOT FILMED IN HFR, it is transcoded using high-quality motion interpolation with Real-Time Intermediate Flow Estimation (RIFE).
If you HATE motion interpolation for example, 60fps (smooth motion), then please do us all a favor and hit the back button, because this isn't for you....

 | The audio also went out of sync for me when I was watching on my TV. I paused it, and upon resuming, the sync was fixed. I attributed this to my TV hardware struggling with the bitrate since this encode has a higher bitrate than most, if not all, of my other encodes. HFR combined with a high bitrate is very demanding. |

| Why not always use a 4K remux as a source? I'm not criticizing, far from it, it's just a doubt since I always value the best quality. What do you think about making the first two films in the Alien franchise? If you do, please use the theatrical versions of both films, as they are the best. Thank you for that!   |
