@Guest-4072 - No one can force you to... UPGRADE TO A *PROPER* content rendering device (or use the many *free* HDR/DoVi media players e.g. KODI 21 [no FEL compatibility, though... yet] ect.) for TODAY'S CONTENT but be aware, though; HDR (or some sort of colour-grade metadata) is the future. Many publishers today are just tired of deploying both grades of content (even the Streaming Services either SDR or DoVi); BluRay (Full/1080p) and UHD BluRay (4K/2160p) but they are heavy lending on UHD more (more profitable) and retiring, in a very near future, BluRay/1080p; due to many reasons but the main ones are just huge lost revenue at the theaters, high-paid entertainers, WOKENESS, ect. HDR/DoVi (and their future replacers) are here to stay. SDR, well, just like the horse carriages were replaced by automotive, everything has an EOL for the next best thing. |
This could be cool, but unfortunately I can't watch HDR. The colors just don't convert properly, it never looks natural the way SDR does. Thumbs up for the upload though! |
