Thank you! I'm curious: is it the Godzilla Minus One / Minus Color version made by the filmmakers? |
The director said in a statement: "Rather than just making it monochrome, it is a cut-by-cut. I had them make adjustments while making full use of various mattes as if they were creating a new movie." |
Doesnt look like it. Look at the BW trailer on YouTube. The image have slightly different tonality. Look at the shot of the woman in window (there are two white spots on the right side of the windows frame that have beeen visibly retouched in the shot in trailer, but not in the shot in this version). |
this is taken off the offical bluray disc bud if something missing then they have fixed it up |
This isn't Minus Color. There's a remux of the Minus Color blu-ray so you can compare. The major giveway is the Toho logo, in Minus Color you see both the current, colored logo and then you see the old logo in black and white. Here is just the current logo in black and white. |
Apologies, I was mistaken. This is, in fact, Minus Color. But the first black & white release by Will1869 isn't (Godzilla.Minus.One.1080p.B&W.BluRay.H264.Will1869-CxN.mkv), so my words can be refered to that release instead. |
Responding to my own question: I downloaded and can confirm that, YES, this is the "...Minus Color" version of the movie. Thanks again for sharing! |
