Twister 1996, Ai-Upscaled from a quality (yet very grainy) Blu-ray 1080p source, then increased framerate to 60fps via Nvidia TensorRT Rife 4.14-v2 to 60fps. (testing new rife model)

Warning! There are some intermittent artifacts on the coat of Bill Paxton until he removes it. It has a intricate cross weave pattern, I minimized the artifacts the best I could, testing different models. Rife 4.14v2 seemed the best.

 | Thank you very much for all your 4K upscales, Chesley. I for one very much appreciate all the time and effort you are putting into these upload. I've been playing with 4K upscales myself and I know how much time it takes to convert a 1080p movie to 2160. Let alone uploading and seeding. Also, in particular on my PC monitor, the 60 FPS makes a huge difference. It looks smooth as silk and I like it. I also prefer the movies without the grainy image so I'm happy you are taking care of that, too. I understand some would rather see the movie with the grainy image retained. It's al subjective and a matter of personal preference. I like it w/o the grain. :D Ofcourse there are issues with AI upscales and / or 60 FPS; nothing is prefect. If one doesn't like it there are plenty other options available for download. No need to come her and post rubbish. Just move along and download something else. :) Thank you, Chesley.  | Great comment. I couldn't have put it better myself. I, for one, would add that I sometimes prefer the upscaled version in 60fps to many a native 4K release. It's all down to personal preference. The viewing experience will also be affected by the type of display and contrast setting. |

| I commented earlier(wax images..), did not mean to upset the uploader, the effort is appreciated. BUT, subjectively speaking, comparing directly to bluray the image looks artificial, faces especially. maybe there is more detail & sharpness to backgrounds but the bluray seems more natural. |

| Yep. I go out of my way to find releases free of digital noise reduction and grain reduction. It's film grain. It's supposed to be there. More detail in the film grain, sharper film grain, bring it on. Destroying the film grain destroys detail in characters faces. It's unavoidable. This is why there is 4k. More detail. |

It's a bit unusual for the brain to accept the fact that it is so clear. But I love watching movies with no grain :) And I didn't find the faces to look waxy at all. I could see the wrinkles in Paxton's forehead....lol I look forward to your see what else you do. I only wish I could do some, but Topaz AI says my 12 year old i7-2700K cpu would take 5 days to process.....lol (it to is Thermaltake liquid cooled) |

| Thank you all for commenting. I worked very hard on this one. The movie had loads and loads of grain, especially during the first few minutes. I did everything I could on the second go around (2 and a half days later) to remove the grain, whilst preserving detail in their faces. My first attempt at this movie was not nearly as sharp and detailed, especially in the faces. It takes around 8 hours doing a single pass, using the second enhancement feature, takes nearly twice that long. Then, another 4 hours give or take to encode with SVP4Pro TensorRT Rife to 60fps. Mind you my water-cooled EVGA RTX 3080 GPU is pulling 300 to 400 watts for this entire process. I've nearly killed my Thermaltake PSU, and had to use a server PSU to power my GPU, as my PC would crash under load before adding the server PSU. |
