 | Bear with me, this gets relevant. Circa 1987 I walked into the enormous Tower Records in Boston. HUGE. I remember feeling like a Russian iimmigre, which we were getting a lot of those days, when they see 25 feet of different coffees for sale in the grocery -- when I saw the Mozart section that was at least 50 feet of CDs. I had heard Billy Holiday sing "Why Don't You Do Right?", which I knew from the Roger Rabbit movie, on the public radio blues show the night before. After not finding it in the (large) Billy Holiday section, I approached a middle-aged employee and said I couldn't find Holiday performing the song. That guy really knew music! "That's because she never recorded the song. You're probably thinking of Lil Green, who recorded it first, whose singing style is somewhat reminiscent of Billy's." He showed me a massive book where you could look up any song and see the list of people who have recorded. He was right about Holiday and Green. So I bought a CD with Lil Green performing the song. It indeed was the version I sought. It because a favorite on regular rotation. About 4 years ago, all my CDs were stolen. That's why I am DELIGHTED to chance across this torrent. I will heap karma on you whenever I (frequently) listen to it. Since joining TGx a few months ago, I have paid more attention to release groups because I like to create collections, and TGx forbids using media from TGx trusted uploaders without their permission. (I'm a trial uploader. Search TGx for "jZQ" if you are interested in about 700GB of Christmas videos. BONE was gracious enough to give me permission.) Now I am seeing PMEDIA everywhere, e.g. on my favorite torrent site that I can't name because of rules. You guys are incredibly prolific! Great taste too, I'm going to snag some Pet Shop Boys next.
