The fast-flowing tributary is scheduled to rise in the coming days with the sealing of the river. The formation of a vast lake will soon erase any possible evidence of foul play and the chance of ever finding Dannie. Amy Powers, is frantically fighting for a delay in the dam’s closing, clinging to the hope her daughter is alive. It is Amy who calls on Emily to help find Dannie.
A last-minute appeal to stop HydroEnergy is denied, allowing the utility company to proceed. Emily races against time to find the missing 10-year-old and to learn what or who is responsible for Bryan Powers’ death.
