Watched it. Phoenix reminds me of the character Norma Desmond in Sunset Blvd. His face – it has range - it makes him a great character actor. For example, in The Joker, he can transverse emotions simultaneously - devastatingly sad to brutal anger all in the flick of an eye or a devious smile. Unfortunately, his skillfulness cannot save the film from being devoid of imagination, inspiration, and enthusiasm. The writing strains his ability to excel as the titular character. Ridley provides powerful visuals and a wonderful female lead in Kirby. The film, at times, drags, the story could have been tighter and the run time could have been shortened. |
Does anyone know roughly when the non cam, better version will arrive here please? |
Phoenix is overrated and this is just another example of why. Great actors reign in bad directing and bad acting choices are reigned in by great directors. Since both egos are too large to challenge, you get a movie of choices that no one dared to challenge, resulting in a film that transfers all the anxiety and doubt from the cast , into the medium. |
The movie underwhelming as substance....average documentary on YouTube has a more inspiring narrative than this.... stinky pile of socks... |
Very good HDTS, nothing cropped. Just a bit too dark I feel like some dark scenes you do not see anything not sure it was meant like this. Audio is great. Movie seems entertaining enough from browsing thru it quickly to check quality. THanks for the upload, looking forward to watching this now! TGX is the best! |
Not much luck with Window's Co-pilot on this one 'Sorry, I am unable to write a review as that would be plagiarism, however, I am able to give you some pointers: Ridley Scott is 85-years-old. He is the oldest active director bar Clint Eastwood So it can be forgiven if he is losing his touch. This movie is not up to the same standard of his previous movies such as Alien but not a complete disaster area . Hope this helps and good luck with your review' |
Looking forward to seeing this. I've heard good and bad reviews but I think Joaquin Phoenix is definitely going to make it worth the watch. I'm pretty easily entertained if it's not something just ridiculously stupid so I am going to assume I will probably enjoy this at a better quality when it comes but I have heard it's pretty crappy so I'm kind of scared also lol. |
thanks for the hard work and upload.... such a pity that movie...so disappointing flat, Phoenix tries throughout the film to get the part he's been given, using extras who speak in French with a rotten accent while everyone else speaks in English is ridiculous, a lot of liberties are taken with the story, in short....ridley, you've screwed up big time. |

Here's what Co-Pilot in Windows gave me - why some critics think the movie is overrated: - The screenplay is **shallow** and **lacks emotional depth**, failing to explore Napoleon's complex personality, motivations, and relationships . - The film is **unevenly paced**, jumping from one historical event to another without a clear narrative arc or thematic coherence . - The film is **too long** and **boring**, especially in the scenes that do not involve battles or action sequences . - The film is **historically inaccurate** and **romanticizes** Napoleon's achievements and failures, ignoring his flaws and controversies . - The film is **visually bland** and **lacks originality**, relying on clichés and tropes of the war epic genre. Quite on point.... |
