i my self was shocked to find this in 1080p on a streaming service its alot better than 480p pal dvds but its also not full hd in quality if u were to compair it to any other 1080p tv show but still alot better than the dvd 5 version |
Excellent work! Thank you! More like this, please! Blackadder maybe?? |
Blackadder never heard of the series but i didnt know " Rowan Atkinson " made more serieses few years ago when searching his name google said only shows he has was mr bean and mr bean animated but i just found 2 more id like to have myself " The Thin Blue Line " and ure suggestion " Blackadder " il upload if i findem |
Disappointing. OAR is 4x3. This appears to have been cropped in to fill 16x9 screen. This looks no better than uncompressed Pal discs IMHO. |
some scenes are cropped and most scenes have longer aspect ratio it came like this on the dvd9 and it came like this from showmax streaming service and it came like this when it was still on netflix and the level of detail looks alot better than any other version i know but if u believe this is bad then it will seem so |
your just dissapointing ure self because u believe the quality isnt any better it isnt going to be for u but for me or for someone else it might look stunning compaired to 480p so we are happy if ure unhappy with something then problem remains in your mind only |
Use PotPlayer and press "1" while playing the video, and stop complaining :/ |
and for anyone who wants 4:3 orignal version of mr bean in good quality i found the actuall dvd 9 files for it dvd9 remux is on the way and it looks better than i expected from it ! |
Hey zero, you are a great uploader, don't take this personally. I'm a big fan of the show and I have been watching it since it came out in 1990. I was excited to see it in 1080p. I was disappointed because....(and I quote).... 1) "some scenes are cropped" No, ALL scenes are cropped. This alone makes it unacceptable. 2) "most scenes have longer aspect ratio it came like this on the dvd9" No it didn't, I have the PAL DVD9s, and besides any TV from this era is strictly 4x3 due to technical limitations. 3) "because u believe the quality isn't any better" I don't just "believe" the quality isn't better, I can clearly see it as can anyone who cares to make an A to B, side by side comparison on 4k TV as I did. Many old BBC (and other) 4x3 shows are showing up in "1080" cropped to 16x9 but resolution is not improved probably due to the source tape. I have seen some upscales of old shows that actually look better but this isn't one of them. I post this not to slam you but to inform others who care about these things particularly OAR (original aspect ratio) |
i stopped caring yesterday but i stopped reading this halfway but in other words it to me looks alot better than any other version i had or found of mr bean i found this one on showmax it was 16:9 i hadent even noticed it was cropped until someone mentioned it real ball squashers but if i could find atleast dvd remux |
if i were to find dvd remuxes it could be better i dont know i never saw one only saw bad compressed ones everywhere and when i saw the one on showmax i only have upto 1080p 40 inch oled displays and to me the quality looked alot better than the already 480p versions so yea atm this is the one il be keeping |
