The Little Pot Boiler by Spike Milligan PDF
When thinking Spike, you have to be ready for surprises. And you get that as each page jumps from one madcap idea to another. It's optimistic and dark at the same time. Off the wall but with a smattering of social comment.
This book addresses important issues too, such Johnny's knee's facing the wrong way, Medieval torture, the origin of dogs and telephones, and the amusingly uninformative Wrenkled Strin.
Spike's prowess with a pair of scissors, some old magazines and a biro could well have been an inspiration for the likes of Monty Python's Terry Gilliam. It's a '60s era British humorfest of pre Gilliam art, cut-up humor, puns, one liners, observational sketches, and Spike Milligan being Spike Milligan.
