That Pro Logic thing sounds a bit like snake oil. Did you encode/downmix your audio track with something special? If so, with what? |
Listening to it with Beyerdynamics through a Sony DAC, it's def not snake oil. You can test it out for yourself, the proof is in the pudding. My latest movie encode is Baby Driver, heavy in both music and action, with DP2 and it sounds great. Same on home theatre. You won't notice without good hardware though. |
And yes I mixed it from the original DTS-HD. It's one of the presets in Handbrake. Started off testing it and tests so far are successful esp. paired with Opus. Retains so much detail with such a low bitrate. |
