Me while watching : "Who the fuck are these people" lol Episode 1 & 2 are great. I'm on episode 3 and I don't care about these people, I don't care about the cringy singing. I hope it gets better, I'm getting He-Man Vibes where the main character (a Belmont) is going to end up being a side character. Everyone knows the Story of Ritcher. He should be looking for Alacard or the Vampire Killer Whip. These people were never in any of the games. Canonically, He should be saving Maria (he doesn't know her before than) Personally, I always enjoyed the story of Simon more (He's in the First game, then the second where he needs to remove dracula's curse in 72 hours time, or you get a bad ending) I hope this gets better, I'll update my post after I get farther in the story. |
@amishHacker Castlevania released in 1986. With Simons Curse coming out 2 years later, then Super Castlevania in '91(I think?) 35 would be the acceptable amount of time, especially this story. Ritchers story didn't come out until NEC-CD (Neo-Geo). It was ported to the SNES in 97, and even then it was a rare-ish kind of game. It's not until lately did we get a re-boot of Ritcher (after SOTN) for PSP (where maria is a playable character, and Over powered) If you have the time, i would suggest picking up these games (Physical or otherwise). It's one of the toughest platformers to this date. If you aren't annoyed by that knockback of being hit, respawning enemies and lack of health you don't have a soul lol |
My bro. Castlevania II was Simon's Quest, not Simon's Curse. You skipped Castlevania III, Dracula's Curse. Also, Vampire Killer on the MSX2 had significantly different stages from the original, but otherwise it was the "same" game. Then there's the arcade and Game Boy releases before we get to IV. |

I think anyone that's ever played any of the Castlevania games has to be at least 35+ by now, so I'd assume it's intended for adults.... |
More like 60 years old. I loved those old nintendo games! |
