Bill Destler is an amateur folk musician in Rochester, NY and is a founding member of the Baltimore Folk Music Society. He is also one of the world's foremost antique banjo collectors; the number of instruments in his collection is purportedly more than 160. From 2007 to 2017 he served as the 9th president of the Rochester Institute of Technology. His wife, Rebecca Johnson, sings vocal accompaniment on some of his albums.
