Thank you for leaving it uncropped. Wes Anderson movies always use different aspect ratios. |
Why is this comment down-voted? This is useful information about the format of the content as well as reasoning why the uploader may have left it uncropped. |
It was impossible for me to watch this garbage in technicolor. With the budget for this movie they could have stopped both wars in Ukraine and Gaza. Instead they overpaid those rich actors just so they can maintain their luxury lifestyle. It kind of tells you where the modern world is going...yeah, that asteroid crater. |
I want the two hours of my life back for watching this senseless movie. Now I'm pondering what the heck I watched. What was the point? How did so many superstars sign on for this garbage film? I truly see no purpose in this film. It was and is a complete mystery. |
Agreed! With the budget for this movie they could have stopped both wars in Ukraine and Gaza. Instead they overpaid those rich actors just so they can maintain their luxury lifestyle... |
Yet another complete fail from Wes Anderson, and the weakest one from his catalogue. This is the third movie in a row that is either average(Isle of Dogs, The French Dispatch) or a complete shitshow like this one. As someone who grew up watching his movies with The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Darjeeling Limited, and The Royal Tenenbaums being some of my favorite movies of all time, I cant understand at which point he lost the connection to reality and just keeps pushing the same movie over and over again. I love his style, and I don't care if a movie doesn't have a real plot, but it has to be at least entertaining. What the hell is this? Now, it is evident that he cant do anything else besides this, and is afraid to explore something different. Just look what kind of masterpiece is Babylon which also doesn't have a deep story. It deserves 1/10, but 3/10 is what this movie is. Jesus! |
We watched The Darjeeling Limited the other day Cracking good movie |
another wes trashandersoon movie with no plot-story cringe 2D camera angles... |
this movie leaves me feeling even sadder for wes anderson and all the participants--projecting his personality of meaningless, randomness and emotionless futility on all the films he makes. what a waste of creativity... |
out on VOD already?! weird I just rewatched Moonrise Kingdom! Thanks! |
Thank you GalaxyRG, great A/V quality, and this movie really does benefit from high quality video. In fact, as a movie, that's a lot of what this has to offer... "eye candy". Themes of waking dreams and so on blend to give you a kind of -- in my opinion -- living Norman Rockwell painting. I have to admit at this point that I'm not a Wes Anderson fan, and this is very much his movie. I am a fan of the actors involved though, but none of my favourites really had a chance to shine... they all seemed to be sharing the movie so much that I never really appreciated any of them for their contributions. So, highly visual, so much so that I kind of lost interest. Thanks anyway GalaxyRG your efforts are much appreciated |
Thank you so much for this. I saw the trailer at the cinema and have been dying to see it. |
Director makes a movie about making a movie (play). When does it get old watching movies about Hollywood/Broadway with all the meta nonsense only pseudo-intellectual superiority-complex movie critics (and other general wankers) care about. Wes has lost the plot mate |
Andersons style isn't good enough to completely ignore his audience. This was one of very few movies I had to shut off before I was halfway through the movie. |
I don't understand the bizarre color grading. It looks like he shot it in RAW format and then didn't know how to process it. It looks very much like certain parts of Birdemic 3. I'm happy to see there are b/w segments to break it up. |
Yep, lks like movie/cinema mode on steroids A washed out desert lk, but wait... is that a desert |
