Boohoo. Being Ginger was never important to Jimmy's character. And that's saying that is just devaluing the real genocide going across the world. |
I can comprehend how ginger people might feel when they lose representation. My question would be, did they feel the same when nearly every single live version of Jimmy Olsen was played by a non-ginger, or was it after Mehcad Brooks showed up that it started becoming a genocide? |
It's only bothersome when they fade from red to black. At that exact moment the ginger snaps back. Whitewashing of whole families like in "The Impossible" is not even worth a notice. |
So being black was never important to MLK's character? Stop the race-bending and the gender-bending not all the world are commies, and those who lives under such regimes know well that the enablers are k-i-l-l-e-d in the second wave p-u-r-g-e of such regimes. |
MLK wasn't fiction. And yeah him being black was important lmao. Unlike Jimmy. |
I'm happy to give this a try. I would suggest that the best approach for this kind of material came from the 90's Batman cartoon. Notice that it had a mash-up or blending of technology and artistic style to give it a sense of a world out of time - 1940s clothes and Art Deco styling, but modern technology. Not quite steampunk, but something analogous, going for a "modernized" 1940s instead of the 1890s. Something like that approach would work well for Superman, given his character's origins in the same era. But I'm open-minded, and happy to see how they approach it here. |
No helpme, read de info, clearly say Clark val in love with lois.... anyone notes that the 4K section is gone... |
Nice, will give it a look, especially since the incels here get so easily bent out of shape. Maybe they should try getting l@id or something... |
Had no idea the girl was lois. Poor Lois went from professional to looking like a immature teen. Then again this is probably how current propaganda journalists look now. |
They are younger, and interns in the show, so probably not the professionals they are in other media. |
I dunno, typically in the last few years while Marvel has made a good to ok cinematic universe, their animation when compared to most of the DC animated movies is sub-par. I think this looks more or less ok quality wise, but then again I m downloading this and am judging the quality from the sceenshots. |
Superman has existed for DECADES. We can look at the original comics and cartoons to see what the cast is meant to be like. We can see how they relate to each other. But no. we get this 'modern' trash. What is so hard to stick to the true formula when remaking things? And of course we get the brain dead fools defending this nonsense. I give up. |
Yes, I'm sure Clark in a 30s suit & tie, changing clothes in a phone booth would be relatable to modern audiences. Clearly, what we need is a remake of Max Fleischer from 1940. That will be a surefire hit. Did I go too far back? I mean, "the true formula" is whatever you grew up with, so maybe 90s TAS? |
Action Comics No7 December 1938(well read condition). superman magazine(1939 digital only). Superman-Japoteurs(1941 Animated Famous serial). Superman-The Mad Scientist(1941 Animated Fleischer serial). Superman(1948-Live action serial). Superman And The Mole Men(1951-Live action). Kelloggs Corn Flakes(1958-tv ad). |
P.S. Superman (1979 Atari). Superman-The Man Of Steel(1989-DOS) Jimmy Olsen had ginger hair(1938) |
Damn finally a Superman cartoon after all these years. Hopefully its a banger. |
Now I have 11 Superman shows. I think Batman might start to get Jealous. |
For the people criticising the people who are "complaining about a kids' show"... This ISN'T a kids' show --- It airs at midnight on Adult Swim. |
To be fair, Superman was a great franchise back in the day. The day being the era long before anyone reading this was born and legacy superheroes looked fine wearing underpants outside their tight costumes, when glasses can really confuse people, and dated gender stereotypes passed as forward for the time. Unfortunately, 2023 is not that era but rather than create something new, Western franchises regurgitate old stereotypes that clash with woke sensibilities, alienating both old and new fans alike. At least they managed to update the eyes to today's anime proportions, for what that's worth ... |
What's the big deal? Jimmy Olsen was already black back in the Supergirl tv series. I'm just going to watch the show and hopefully enjoy Superman on our screens again. |
"Oh, it's okay to screw something up, cos they screwed it up this other time too" |
Jimmy Olsen originally looked like Archie Andrews. |
Why the ginger discrimination? I don't give a damn who lends him his voice, but he should be a redhead as he was since the beginning... I can't hardly imagine a black person playing Hitler. |
Yes Hitler, the man who was about pale skin, blonde hair, blue eyes so much so that he considered them the master race can be played by a black person because some genius can't understand when race is important in a story |
I thought you might have been exaggerating, but yeah, Lois Lane has short hair and looks unfeminine, and Jimmy Olsen is apparently black now. I want to say I'm surprised, but I'm not. I'm guessing Superman is gay now, too? |
They literally just made her a cute short hair, tomboy character lmao (similar to Casca from Berserk). And look at Screenshot 5 & tell me if she really looks "unfeminine".. And Jimmy Olsen is just racebent & apparently that's happened before. |
Actually, helpme, you're not far off. The new Superman, Clark's son Jonathan, is gay. |
Jonathan Kent was bi, not gay, but they recently retconned that back out and he's gonna be straight again |
You're crying about the artstyle of a kid's show. Grow up. |
@HandersonJB It's not a kids' show, it airs at midnight. |
