Can`t get it to proper view on Windows either. Tried all settings and renderers in MPC. |
The video stutters to the point that it is not watchable. Tried different systems and codecs. Was not able to get it working. |
Sorry to hear that. All I can tell you I am streaming it from a NAS to a 4K TV, using a FireTV-4K, and it's playing properly for me here... |
It does not for me, I watch it all. Probably your NAS, WIFI, or Decoder is not able to keep up with the video, remember it's HEVC x265. |
Very well could be HEVC x265, but there is still something off with Scotts 4k encodes. On a Mac, VLC and Handbrake don't detect the video files as HDR, so will blow out the saturation. Only player i have gotten working on Apple TV is Infuse, Plex stutters and doesnt get saturation right. Try egortech's posts. |
Just guessing here, but i think its the use of HVC1 codec in Scotts encodes rather than HEVC. Might be tripping up a number of decoders. https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=VLC+HVC1&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#ip=1 |
Could also be SKYs use of Hybrid Log-Gamma for live sports in HDR. |
