Becky è una giovane donna il cui fidanzato muore durante un'arrampicata sulle Montagne Rocciose. Dopo il funerale, Becky e la sua amica Hunter decidono di arrampicarsi in una vecchia torre di trasmissione nel deserto alta più di settecento metri per spargere le ceneri di Dan da quell'altezza mozzafiato. Dopo essere giunte in vetta, la scala della torre, arruginita e usurata dal vento e dal sole, precipita nel vuoto, lasciando le due donne intrappolate in cima alla stretta sporgenza della torre.
