| @Guest-3707 What's this fascination with likeability? Joel's daughter grew up in a protective world. Ellie grew up in a destroyed world, in a military camp. Of course Ellie is rougher around the edges than Joel's daughter. |

| How does that make sense? Ellie grew up in a completely rougher environment, so she is naturally more rough. The writers made the character true to her circumstances. Likeability has nothing to do with it, unless you want all females to fit into a neat stereotype. |
