Your Garden Made Perfect S01 and S02 complete (1280x720p HD, 50fps, soft Eng subs)

Cutting edge technology reveals the paradise ordinary gardens could become. Which designer's ideas will help families extend the indoors outside and create the perfect space?

E01
Following on from the successful and innovative series Your Home Made Perfect, Angela Scanlon returns with this series that uses the same remarkable technology to reinvent garden spaces into a true extension of people's homes. Demi and Laura have a busy family life in Hertfordshire, but their lacklustre ‘L-shaped’ garden, strewn with kids’ toys, needs an injection of life to make it the perfect space for their large, fun-loving family. Demi loves to entertain, while Laura wants a relaxing space for the family to spend quality time together in. Will it be possible to create an outdoor haven which works for everyone?

Neil and Clare have a garden that is relatable to many, uninspiring and rarely used. One thing it does have however is a stunning view of rural Cheshire, but the pair cannot agree on how to turn it into a practical space suitable for the whole family. Clare wants somewhere quiet to have a coffee and read a book, whilst Neil wants a space for entertaining all year round. The biggest design challenge they face is making the view feel part of their garden as currently it just makes the plot feel small. Further complicating matters, Neil has known the garden all his life so there are lots of memories of his late father.

E03
Two garden designers use virtual reality to transform tired gardens into idyllic wonderlands, while a small spaces expert brings perfection to tiny plots. Pam and Marcus have a big garden surrounded by large established trees, which stretches away from their suburban home in St Albans, Hertfordshire. It has been home to football goals, trampolines and other familiar play paraphernalia for years whilst the kids have occupied it. But the couple have decided that it’s finally time for a big change. The children have grown up, and Pam and Marcus are ready to transform the garden into a space for themselves. Pam dreams of a wildlife oasis, while Marcus wants something more practical in keeping with his garden sheds. After years of staring at their long garden with its strip of scruffy lawn, it’s finally time to do something about it - but they cannot imagine where to start.

E04
Suzanne and Andrew have a huge problem in their lives: a derelict, crater-sized swimming pool in their back garden in Plymouth. When they bought the house, they dreamt of lounging around on their sunbaked south-coast riviera with friends and family, but the reality has been a nightmare. A succession of landscaping companies have run a mile the moment they gaze into the abyss, but Suzanne and Andrew are determined to transform this treacherous space into the garden of their dreams. Their budget doesn’t even stretch to simply filling it in, so how can they transform this empty pool into anything resembling a garden?

E05
Tracey and Jake have a decent-sized, south-facing garden in West Sussex, but the space simply doesn’t work for their family. As a full-time wheelchair user, Tracey struggles to navigate the tricky slopes and awkward drops of the garden, and gets frustrated that she can only venture into certain parts without assistance. Jake, meanwhile, finds the space uninspiring and gets tired of trying to keep it all looking neat and tidy. He dreams of a low-maintenance solution. Their daughter Poppy would love the garden to be somewhere she can escape into and enjoy alone or with her parents.

E06
Mandy and Chris adore their Victorian home in Manchester, but they cannot unlock the potential of their garden. Overlooked on all sides, the couple feel on edge and exposed whenever they spend time in it. They have considered adding hedges and big trees to give them more privacy, but they don’t want to lose the light. The couple also disagree on how they intend to enjoy the garden - Chris craves warmth, so she loves nothing more than lying in the sun, while Mandy wants to be in the shade. With so many conflicting issues, they are at a loss over how to move forward.

Season 2

E01
Steph and her two children live in St Annes near Blackpool. Recently divorced, Steph is excited about making a fresh start by transforming her garden. It’s currently a dilapidated outside space, mostly enveloped by shade. The only place that does get the sun is where she keeps the bins. Steph’s dream is to have a garden that offers her calm spaces to practise her yoga, but also one that gives her enough space to have a party. She’s chosen her lifelong friend Nicola to support her, but will it be possible to create a garden that can help kickstart the next chapter of her life? Stepping up to help are award-winning garden designers Manoj Malde and Pip Probert. Manoj is inspired to bring vibrancy and colour to the space and packs it with different garden rooms, whilst Pip is keen to transform it into a contemporary coastal paradise. Using virtual reality, both designers pitch their radically different approaches. Manoj tackles the lack of purpose in the space, while Pip chases the sunshine to create light-filled zones to enjoy around the clock. Both designs are brought to life in the virtual world, allowing Steph and Nicola to step inside two versions of the garden. Either garden would be a perfect fit, but which will Steph and Nicola choose?

E02
Andrew and Paolo live in a new-build house in Liverpool. They have spent the past few years lovingly decorating their two-bedroom home into somewhere which reflects their quirky and retro design style. But outside, it’s a different story. The small bland plot is dominated by a massive retaining wall that overwhelms the space. They’ve been searching for a design solution to transform their garden, but they simply cannot see beyond the overbearing wall. The dream is to extend their beautiful living space into the garden, but is it possible to do anything that masks the giant, oppressive wall? Stepping up to help are award-winning garden designers Tom Massey and Pip Probert. Tom is inspired to embrace the wall with dramatic jungle-style planting, whilst Pip attempts to distract the eye from it by transforming the space with a bespoke pergola complete with swinging seats. Using virtual reality, both designers pitch their radically different approaches. Tom tackles the lack of height and scale in the plot, while Pip is inspired by their interior with quirky tiles and bespoke patterns. Either garden would be a perfect fit, but which will Andrew and Paolo choose?

E03
Debi and Des live in Enfield, London. Their beautiful family home has a generous urban plot, but it sits on a massive slope that is currently only used as an outdoor exercise space for Des, whose studio gym sits at the end of the garden. Debi would like a space she can relax in after a hard day's work, but the real dream would be transforming the plot into a family space for everyone to enjoy. Having stared out at their uninspiring plot for years, Debi and Des are desperate for a solution. Stepping up to help are award-winning garden designers Oliver Bond and Helen Elks-Smith. Oliver has got big ideas on how to identify and define new zones in the space, whilst Helen finds an unexpected sweet spot right in the heart of the plot. Using virtual reality, both designers pitch their radically different approaches. Either one would be a perfect fit, but which will the couple choose?

E04
Agata and David live in Benfleet, Essex. They were initially attracted to their lovely new family home because of its massive garden. They thought it would be an ideal space for their autistic son Franik to enjoy being outside. However, they soon found that the size and awkward L-shape of the garden made it difficult to keep an eye on him. They are constantly concerned that Franik could hurt himself. The garden is now a source of stress for Agata and David instead of the haven of calm they hoped for. Now, with a new baby daughter, this family is more desperate than ever to transform this giant space into one that can be full of happiness and relaxation. Stepping up to help are award-winning garden designers Helen Elks-Smith and Manoj Malde. Helen is interested in unifying this massive plot so it doesn’t feel so intimidating, whilst Manoj is inspired by the natural woodland around the back of the space. Using virtual reality, both designers pitch their radically different approaches. Helen wows with an incredible vision of colour and texture, bringing planting right up to the house, while Manoj focuses on giving the family clearly defined zones for day and night. Both visions are brought to life in the virtual world, allowing Agata and David to step inside two versions of the garden. Either garden would be a perfect fit, but which will the couple choose?

E05
Rachael and Tom are both vegans and are passionate about the great outdoors and the power of nature. They have committed to transforming their first home in Manchester into somewhere which reflects a truly sustainable lifestyle. Using savings left to them by Tom’s grandparents, the pair want to transform their outside space into a living larder. But the unruly plot is now a ramshackle tangle of dangerous hard landscaping and uneven levels. As the couple tie the knot in a few months, it’s a huge year for them, and they are determined that they set the tone for their future together by getting this garden just right. Stepping up to help are award-winning garden designers Tom Massey and Steve Williams. Tom is interested in unlocking the potential of the awkward level changes, while Steve is inspired by the existing canopy of trees overhead. Using virtual reality, both designers pitch their radically different approaches. Tom reinvents the space into a contemporary sustainable wonderland, while Steve comes up with a layered edible food forest. Both designs are brought to life in the virtual world, allowing Rachael and Tom to step inside two versions of the garden. Either garden would be a perfect fit, but which will the couple choose?

E06
Lisa and Justin live in a new build house in Wokingham. Lisa is originally from South Africa, and the couple raised their two children there, returning to the UK a few years ago. They love their home, but the footprint downstairs isn’t huge, and they are desperate to make more of the generous plot outside. Given their roots in South Africa, the family also want to connect more with nature. They regularly go for walks in the nearby woods, but they would love their garden to offer them a similarly ‘wild’ experience, something their distinctly average patch of lawn doesn’t. With Lisa recovering from a recent illness, the family desperately want their own private sanctuary outside, but they are at a loss about where to start. Stepping up to help are award-winning garden designers Oliver Bond and Steve Williams. Oliver is keen to divide up this boring plot into defined yet beautiful zones, while Steve is committed to getting some nature into the uninspiring space. Using virtual reality, both designers pitch their radically different approaches. Oliver creates a sophisticated paradise complete with bespoke lighting solutions, whereas Steve reinvents the plot into a wild wonderland. Both designs are brought to life in the virtual world, allowing Lisa and Justin to step inside two versions of the garden. Either would be a perfect fit, but which will the couple choose?
