Scratch Acid to amerykański zespół noise rockowy z Austin, założony w 1982 roku. Na początku swojej muzycznej kariery Steve Anderson grał na wokalu, David Sims i Brett Bradford na gitarze, David Yow na basie, a Ray Washham na perkusji. Anderson opuścił zespół przed nagraniem pierwszego albumu zespołu, pozostawiając Davida Yowa na wokalu i Davida Simsa na basie.
Pierwsze dwa albumy zespołu zostały wydane w teksańskiej wytwórni niezależnej Rabid Cat, najnowsza EPka Berserkera i kompilacja The Greatest Gift zostały wydane przez Touch and Go Records.

Scratch Acid is an American noise rock band from Austin, formed in 1982. Early in their musical career, Steve Anderson was on vocals, David Sims and Brett Bradford were on guitar, David Yow was on bass, and Ray Washham was on drums. Anderson left the band before the band's first album had been recorded, leaving David Yow on vocals and David Sims on bass.
The band's first two albums were released on the Texas indie label Rabid Cat, the latest Berserker EP and compilation The Greatest Gift were released on Touch and Go Records.
