Heads Hands & Feet is an English band formed from the remains of Poet and the One Man Band - Albert Lee (guitar), Pete Gavin (drums), Tony Colton (vocals), Ray Smith (guitar). In 1970 they recorded this debut album, Home From Home, which was not released until 1996. The second album, On The Tracks, was released in 1972. Tensions in the group lead to the breakup in 1973, and when the group ceased to exist, their third release, Old Soldiers Never Die, was released. You can compare it with the Grateful Dead and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

 | . You may not have heard of HH&F but they were a fine rock & country rock band and several members went on to successful careers with other bands eg. Chas Hodges of Chas 'n' Dave fame. If HH&F were playing my local college it would be a sell out. . And then there is Albert Lee - one of the finest guitarists on the planet. He has won several handfuls of awards and played with some of the greatest names in the music industry (see that W place for a full list). He also got The Everly Brothers reunited. He is known as "the guitar player's guitar player". When Chaz 'n Dave recorded their live album at Abbey Road Albert Lee was the half-time entertainment. He got a standing ovation from me and Eric Clapton who was also in the audience. . Enjoy these works - and play them LOUD  . |
