 | Just finished this. I've always liked Thandiwe Newton in Crash, Westworld and MI2 and Jefferson White (Jimmy from Yellowstone) seems like an decent up and comer. This movie was very, purposefully slow and quiet. A little too slow for my liking, but the story line was simple. Female being low key harassed in the wide open, desolate hills of Montana (again, borrowing from Yellowstone). Through a series of flashbacks, you come to realize her story as the tension between her and the locals escalates. Given the current times, I think a lot of people would be turned off by the racial connotations as well the strong female character (I am reminded of the reactions online after Predator: Prey came out), but it was not an overpowering theme and this scenario feels like one that could easily play out. Anyway, if you are not in the mindset to judge a movie based on a quick spoonful of race/sex politics... and don't mind a super slow/quiet burn, you may enjoy this. We streamed it, but the quality was great. Thank you for the upload. Stay golden Ponyboy. |

| You know what's sad? That some here only need one word to be triggered. They don't watch the movie, they think they don't need to. Only one word in the plot description and off they go. Did they stand in front of the theatres when the cold war was on, shouting: "Again with this cold war theme"? Or when the war in Vietnam was still raging: "Again with this Vietnam theme"? With Desert Storm? When AIDS turned out not to be restricted to gays and got us all terrified? Yes people, themes are being used more than once and by more than one director and they all have a right to give their take on that theme. And themes tend to be time-bound because that is what is going on in the mind of people. So yeah, these days topics like pandemics, gender equality, lgtbqia+ rights, racism, extremism and conspiracy theories are topics you will see more often than usual. What of it? |

| A good 'upgrade' to this movie is 'Wind River'  made by 'The Weinstein Company' no less, but don't let that put you off it, it is a darned good movie (7.7 over on IMDB  ), one of the best in this genre, and a whole lot better than this offering

| wind river was written and directed by taylor sheridan (yellowstone, sicario 2) and shares some cast members w yellowstone as well. haven't seen this one yet, but can confirm wind river was really good and politics aside, is most likely the better production between the two |
