They spend their days drinking liters of wine and pastis, reminding themselves the good old times. One evening, they happen to start a farting contest, which seems to provoke a lightning storm... Claude Ratinier - "Glaude" (Louis de Funès) and Francis Chérasse - "Krzywus" (Jean Carmet) are two old farmers and best friends at the same time. They lead a simple and monotonous life in the village of Durnopałki, far from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. They spend time on their poor farms, drinking home-made drinks and remembering the old days. One night, a flying saucer lands on Glaude's field with an alien from another planet (Jacques Villeret) on board. Hospitable Glaude invites the alien home and offers him home-made cabbage soup. In a friendly atmosphere, the old man and the alien, called by Glaude "Gagatek", talk about life on their planets. When Glaude mentions his beloved wife Francine (Christine Dejoux), who died years ago, Gagatek wants to make him happy and decides to bring the woman back to life. Francine, however, returns as a young girl and cannot find a common language with her husband.
