"It began in this world as an idea, and now THE NEXT WORLD is indeed a group of the future. In this, their first album, SYMPHONIC ROCK, they give their listeners a new instrumental sound, blended with unique choral work. The group consists of 11 members and in many of the selections their sound is augmented by the finest studio musicians in Hollywood. All the musicians in the original group are adept at rock and classical compositions, and are highly accomplished on multiple instruments.
The following instruments were used in their recording sessions: Piano, Fender Rhodes, Clavinette, Hammond Organ, Harpsicord, Acoustic 12 string guitar, Acoustic 6 string guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Drum and Percussion, Arp Synthesizer, Trumpets, Trombones, Flugle horns, French horns, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, Oboe, Flute, Bassoon, Recorder, Violins, Violas, Cellos. Most of the musicians doubled and tripled on the above.
Bill Cuomo, a key musician for the group, played all keyboard instruments and sang most of the vocal leads.
About the Producer-Writer: All the songs included in the album are originals written by Herb Newman, who also produced the album. Some of his major credits as a writer-producer are: 'The Wayward Wind, So This is Love, The Birds and the Bees' and many other well-known songs.
About the Arranger: The producer feels that Wayne Parker will be one of America's great arranger-conductors. His outstanding arrangement on these new musical compositions which were written especially for THE NEXT WORLD, will be the milestones of his entire career.
