Actions of the Liquidators put Grandpa Safronov in the hospital and induce Svetov to order a crackdown. Varlamov, in turn, seeks a weak link among the Safronovs and learns of Georgy's son. Svetlana and Svetov clash off camera on the set over his Early Pension plan, revealing a fragility in his daughter's mental makeup and a family secret.
