León Gieco (born on November 20, 1951 in Cañada Rosquín, Argentina) is an Argentine folk rock performer, composer and interpreter. He is known for mixing popular folkloric genres with Argentinian rock and roll, and lyrics with social and political connotations. This has led to him being called "The Argentine Bob Dylan".
El vivo de León is the 22nd album released by León Gieco. All the songs were recorded at a live concert held the year before the release of this album by Gieco, and it includes a "bonus track": the song Jimmy's mom. The album does not include new songs, but classics such as Five centuries equal or In the country of freedom appear.
Recorded live at Luna Park Stadium, Buenos Aires, on October 3, 4, 5 2003.-
