Two kids want to start a heavy metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about heavy metal. They try to find a bass player, and fail but they do find a girl who is very good at cello. If the three of them can't settle their differences and work together, they're never going to win the Battle of the Bands.
Hunter (Adrian Greensmith) und Kevin (Jaeden Martell) sind an ihrer Highschool Außenseiter. Mit einer eigenen Heavy-Metal-Band und der Teilnahme am Schulwettbewerb „Battle Of The Bands“ soll sich das ändern. Doch ein drittes Bandmitglied zu finden, gestaltet sich schwierig. Niemand kann Bass spielen, niemand will sich ihnen anschließen. Nur Emily (Isis Hainsworth) hat Lust, bei ihnen mitzumachen. Die spielt zwar Cello und passt überhaupt nicht in das Bild, welches Hunter für seine Death-Metal-Combo vorschwebt. Doch weil der schüchterne Kevin sich für Emily einsetzt und es einfach keine andere Wahl gibt, lässt er sich breitschlagen. Doch können die drei unterschiedlichen Kids es wirklich schaffen, bis zum Schulwettbewerb eine Band zu werden?
Hunter (Adrian Greensmith) and Kevin (Jaeden Martell) are misfits at their high school. With his own heavy metal band and participation in the school competition "Battle Of The Bands", that should change. But finding a third band member is difficult. Nobody can play bass, nobody wants to join them.
Only Emily (Isis Hainsworth) wants to join them. She does play the cello and doesn't fit at all into the image that Hunter has in mind for his death metal combo. But because the shy Kevin stands up for Emily and there is simply no other choice, he allows himself to be talked into it.
But can the three different kids really manage to become a band before the school competition?
