Ainbo - Spirito dell'Amazzonia, film diretto da Richard Claus e Jose Zelada, è la storia di una ragazza di nome Ainbo, nata e cresciuta a Candámo, una zona profonda e remota della giungla amazzonica. La giovane ha 13 anni, ma non ha mai avuto contatti con altre persone, al di fuori di quelle che abitano la sua comunità, una civiltà ancora non nota.
Quando la zona di Candámo viene sottoposta al disboscamento, Ainbo viene a contatto con altri essere umani scopre che il mondo è popolato da altre persone oltre al suo popolo. La ragazza, però, si rende presto conto che con l'arrivo di queste nuove persone, la sua terra natia è minacciata dall'avidità umana. Per tentare di salvarla, la giovane Ainbo inizia a lottare, ma inutilmente.
Gli uomini, guidati da Cornell DeWitt, disboscano, estraggono minerali e distruggono il paesaggio. L'oscuro Yucuruna, il male che risiede in Amazzonia, sta prendendo il sopravvento e ad Ainbo resta una sola possibilità per salvare la sua casa: rivolgersi allo spirito madre, Turtle Motelo Mama.
