Neil Young - Landing On Water (1986 - Rock Synth pop) [Flac 24-192]



I hate that this album gets overlooked and grouped in as just another one of his flaky Geffen
albums from the 80's.
Honestly, if I was going to be stranded on a desert island and could only take one Neil Young
album, this *might* be the one I'd take.

I think the odd mix of weird-sounding drums, synthesizers, samples of clanking glass and some
guy saying "world", and an angelic boys choir singing "got to fight to control the violent
side" is *really* fun and funny.
And Neil's trademark tortured guitar riffs are coming, trust me, put aside your disdain for
synthesizers on a Neil Young album and just wait until the guitar kicks in, it's totally worth it.

And after a couple of replays you'll probably start to like the synthesizers too.
