avatar'The Best 60's Album In The World Ever' ? Good Golly Miss Molly was recorded in 1956 and released as a single in 1958. How does that make it a Sixties song. Rock Around The Clock was written in 1952, recorded by Haley in 1954 and a hit for the first time in 1955. If they can't get the decade right it what does it say. Then not forgetting the absence of possibly the biggest pop stars of all time (Elvis, the Beatles and the Stones) and a host of massive British 60's bands (Who, Kinks, Searchers, Hollies, Yardbirds, Small Faces, Floyd, Pretty Things etc) and indeed a host of American legends (Dylan, Hendrix, Baez, Airplane, Monkees, Buffalo Springfield, Joplin / Big Brother, Canned Heat, Prunes, Elevators etc) and soul, R&B legends (Redding, Pickett, Franklin, Robinson, Cooke, Charles) There are great songs in this collection but seriously its about time the media and commercial sectors ceremonially dumped all the gratuitous hysterical superlatives. They are embarrasing themselves. Perhaps it should be retitled "The Second Best Sixties Album' (with the odd 50's track) In The World Ever"
