Celebrity Antiques Road Trip S10 E11-E15 (1280x720p HD, 50fps, soft Eng subs)

Antiques experts accompany celebrities on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction

E11
Eighties pop stars and married couple Martin and Shirlie Kemp are on the road with Margie Cooper and James Braxton for a tour of the West Country in an Aston Martin and a Ferrari. Martin becomes nostalgic over a pair of old bakelite radios and gets Margie to help clean them up. Meanwhile, Shirlie indulges her love of all things shabby and chic. A visit to a farm producing historic cider brandy delights James when he's treated to a tasting, and Martin gets to ride on an ice cream tricycle that was used by the women who become the first air traffic controllers during World War II. A collection of vintage comics appeals to Martin for sentimental reasons, but will the umbrella stand Margie persuades him to buy come good? Shirlie has an eye for interior design, but will her flirtation with a long-out-of-fashion pole screen pay off at the auction?

Former Blue Peter presenter Radzi Chinyanganya challenges his pal, CBBC’s Karim Zeroual, to find the most profitable antique. Along for the ride through Wales are antiques experts Paul Martin and Catherine Southon, and expect a bonus appearance from Philip Serrell. Radzi decides to quite literally go for gold, gambling over half his budget on the precious metal. Meanwhile, Karim hopes there’s money to be made from a 1950s stone duck. Their Ferrari and MG classic cars aren't only pointed towards antique shops, with a trip down river for one celeb whilst the other travels deep into the valleys and to the birthplace of a one of Wales’s greatest composers. A visit to his former home proves a musical delight. Radzi and Karim’s purchases go under the gavel but there is an unwanted forfeit for the loser: a dunking in gunge.

E13
TV doctor and GP Amir Khan takes on presenter and talk show icon Trisha Goddard in a competition to make the most money from antiques. Veteran Road Trippers Tim Medhurst and Izzie Balmer help to navigate the classic cars and offer shopping expertise when needed. The Home Counties play host to this antiquing adventure. Dr Amir is instinctively attracted to some mid-century anatomical drawings, but his playful side sees him part with cash to buy a toy robot and a model submarine. Meanwhile, Trisha plumps for an unusual portrait of Queen Victoria. The classic car’s clutch just about holds out for Amir to visit a top secret location to allow him to swat up on beekeeping, and Trisha steps back in time to visit the Regency era and explore what it takes to be a dandy. The journey comes to an exciting end in St. Albans. For these two friends it’s not just about making a big profit- bragging rights are also at stake.

E14
Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson takes to the Cotswolds B-roads with his best friend, Pete Wicks from The Only Way is Essex. Under the supervision of experts Margie Cooper and Raj Bisram, these reality TV star rivals go head-to-head as they swap on-screen antics for auction-worthy antiques. Pete unearths treasures fit for his ‘pirate’ moniker, whilst Sam puts his newly learned haggling skills into practice when purchasing a Victorian music cabinet. Between visits to antiques shops there are detours galore. Pete takes a tumble when he swaps the classic car for a motorbike, and Sam enjoys a romantic lunch for two when he stops off at an asparagus farm. The trip ends with plenty of surprises at the auction, a souvenir to remember and victory for one team.

E15
Watchdog’s Nikki Fox and Matt Allwright take to the antiques trail in the Kent countryside. For good measure and expert guidance, our venerable journalists are accompanied by veteran Road Trippers Natasha Raskin Sharp and David Harper. Vintage wheels for their jaunt come courtesy of a 1970s Triumph and a 1950s Land Rover, with plenty of room in the back for all their purchases!

Fortunately, there are no rogue traders, just generous shop owners willing to give a discount on some very unusual finds, from novelty money boxes to ice cream dishes. As they seek out items to sell at auction, our rookie antiques dealers find the time to learn about William Morris’s manifesto to save ancient buildings, as well as discovering the connection between Kentish ragstone and the early Victorian dinosaur hunters.

There’s an auction showdown at a right royal setting, but who will be crowned the winner?

First broadcast: November-December 2021
