In 1991, Oliver Stone's Oscar-winning drama JFK delved into the mystery surrounding the assassination of President John F Kennedy. Thirty years after his first examination of JFK's assassination, Stone reassesses the horrific event that shaped a generation with JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass. He returns to that dark time in American history with a fascinating documentary inspired by the 1998 report by the Assassination Records Review Board, which assessed the evidence to the case.
In this explosive documentary follow-up to his 1991 film, Oliver Stone takes viewers through recently declassified evidence and testimony in the assassination of President Kennedy, the ultimate and most consequential American true crime murder mystery of the twentieth century. Revisiting the scene of the crime Stone concentrates on some of the more widely debated issues around Kennedy's death, such as the magic bullet theory, which, if assassin Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, miraculously caused seven different wounds when it passed through the president and struck Texas Governor John Connally.
Joined by Academy Award-winning narrators Whoopi Goldberg and Donald Sutherland, as well as a distinguished team of forensics, medical and ballistics experts, historians, and witnesses, Stone presents compelling evidence that in the Kennedy case "conspiracy theory" is now "conspiracy fact."
Film interviews iclude John M. Newman (author of "JFK and Vietnam" and "Oswald and the CIA"), David Talbot (author of "The Devil's Chessboard"), Robert F. Kennedy Jr., James K. Galbraith, Dr. Cyril Wecht and Dr. Henry Lee among others
