Just watched this version and even though it's a CAM copy, it was surprisingly watchable (and enjoyable) Video: 7 Audio: 7.5 The audio (though apparently from the theatre) is very clear, with almost no audience sounds, and the picture, never leaves you wondering what you're seeing on the screen, the dark scenes are pretty readable as well (and sure, there is some out-of-focus moments throughout the movie, but nothing of any importance is compromised in the process, and there's only three small commercials (one, very close to the beginning though)and the wandering watermark is very non-intrusive. Let me just say that if you're easily distracted by any of the issues I mentioned about the film, then you'll want to wait for a better version, but watching it on a 32" Samsung TV with 2 channel stereo speaker set up was pretty enjoyable. As for the film itself, it's NOT the 1984 Ghostbusters, but, it does a pretty descent job paying homage to the original, and the way they payed tribute to Harold Ramis, definitely made me tear up, in a good way. I have no problem with this being cannon with the original 2 movies and would recommend it to any fan of the films. Hope this helps :) |
