Billy Idol, one of the all time greats, is back! Only 4 tracks, but they won't disappoint |
The Godfather and Growler-in-Chief of 1980s punk rock is back Jack. Teamed up with famed spectral guitarist Steve Stevens, this EP is Billy Idol's first new music in seven years. There are only four tracks here, but 'Bitter Taste' is the highlight. It's a slow and mellow ballad with a country vibe in which he reflects on his near-fatal motorcycle crash in L.A. in 1990. It's one of those rare songs that you'll dig right off the bat. And after you've heard it 3 times, it will be in your head for the rest of the day. Sort of a 'grown-up' kinder, gentler version of the 80s Billy Idol. That track alone makes this EP worth having, imho. Thanks to pmedia for the early share. 🥂 PS: He may be kinder and gentler but if you check out Rita Hayworth, you'll see that he can still growl. |
Another great find Thanks pmedia can always find music to look forward to hearing from you I do hope that you know all the time and effort you all put into sharing so many artists music is appreciated Where I live (when not in lockdown), we have one big name shop that sometimes sells the top 20 cds and thats it. So unless ordered without seeing and online this is the only way I get to hear and see whats out. I will seed for others to enjoy too as always. Thanks again I was thinking about Billy Idol only in the last few days and thought that he might have died and I missed it by not watching the news. Great to be wrong and Thanks also to kentk9 for all that information and making me look forward to hearing this too! You know I will be listening to Bitter Taste over and over... lol! |
