 | The Western world's insistence on attempting to empathize with cultures and peoples that will not give us the same considerations and courtesies, will come back to haunt us. A Westerner that was locked up in their prisons would be treated much more harshly then they our. They would be locked up with less cause and no thought would be given to their feelings. No movies would be made about their "indomitable will and human spirit". There would be no Middle Eastern sympathizers making a movie portraying them as a hero to Middle Eastern audiences, while showing their systems in at their worst moments and in the most negative of lights. Suicidal altruism, naivete to the true natures of humanity, the willingness to degrade your own kind while glorifying others, and the public applauding of those that profess their guilt over the successes of the people and ancestors and their very public professions of their "privilege" seems to be a phenomenon and luxury almost exclusively used against and practiced by European peoples. Movies like this are disgusting and encourages these types of destructive behaviors and mentalities. |
