The 'Beaux': Mr Aimwell and Mr Archer, two charming, dissolute young men who have blown their fortunes in giddy London. Shamed and debt-ridden, they flee to provincial Lichfield. My notes
This NTLive of The Beaux' Stratagem is the full broadcast version. But I have
put the intros and featurettes into separate files for those who choose to view
the play and find Part One and two simply.
A special appreciation to the file sharer who provided the much larger version of
this from a source which has no glitches in Part Two. That seemed to be the
only one found in the previously-mentioned Proshot series which is named in the
NFO file for this play.
There are always new actors in these NTLive and RSC plays. But Pearce Quigley is a
familiar player from many fine Globe productions including Taming of the Shrew
and Midsummer Night's Dream in major roles.
I am grateful to the friend who provided the source. Here the size is smaller to
many more can enjoy this Simon Godwin production.

 | Apologies for a synchronization problem I missed. At this late date I was watching it again. In editing out the intermission delays a progressive synch problem developed. In other words, It starts out ok and then audio drifts. Must have been the reason I passed over it. Send a note here if any remedy is used or I can seek another source. |
