One glance at Discovery, National Geographic, History Channel et al, and you know that's all the crap you'll ever get from the once United States. |
What I am suggesting is that I've been sucked in once too many times by these docos though the subjects themselves are interesting and, with a better treatment, would have often been quite interesting/entertaining. For mine they're mostly just a waste of bandwidth but if this pans out differently I'm happy to stand corrected. It's a genre the US seems to suck at with a few rare exceptions. |
yeah Kazaly is right about these documentaries about crime that they are churning out these days .. ive watched a few and really you just need to look at the description and or imdb to see how crap they are going to be. The russians need to do some or maybe the japanese they have some interesting murders/serial killers |
The yanks just don't seem capable of making a good doco. Instead of investing in a good script and solid direction, they resort to the el-cheapo method of a little acting interspersed with talking heads, voice over narration and inept interviews delivered in the most ad-hoc, senselessly repeated and totally unpredictable fashion. I've given up on them as otherwise interesting subjects rendered far too annoying to watch. |
This must all the same guy posting as a guest agreeing with himself. There can't be this many people so heavily invested in hating documentaries from America. Seems like an odd obsession, but if you know of any good documentaries from Nigeria let us know. These are 3 made for tv episodes like Dateline or 20-20. Try something produced by HBO or Showtime if you want a higher budget, higher quality show. (in most cases also produced in and by Americans BTW) |
Too annoying to watch? So you didn't watch it but you're commenting on how bad it is? Obviously you didn't watch it because you commented on it right after it it was posted and it's over 2 hours long. Maybe you shouldn't whine about things being annoying lol |
