Cincinnati's King Records is rightfully famous for its huge output of country & western and rhythm & blues releases issued over a period of 30 years or so. Most of the recordings were by male and female vocalists with a goodly number of male vocal groups thrown in. Often overlooked amongst the 5000 plus singles released on King and the subsidiaries of its owner, Syd Nathan, were some great female vocal groups that recorded in the doo wop style.
