The eighth set in the series collects 14 classic vocal-group performances, many of which came to prominence from a radio show sponsored by Slim's Times Square Records shop. A few familiar tunes are included -- "Oh, What a Night" by the Dells, "Fine Fine Frame" by the Continentals -- but mainly the focus is on obscure but excellent doo wop by the Chesters, Surburbans, Ladders, and the Legends. An excellent purchase for collectors and passive listeners alike.
