Do you hit and quit without a vpn ? or do you also seed while not using a vpn the entire time ? Either way is not a good idea, you do know that people will sit on a torrent client ip farm it then hack all ips not vpn'd :_:O vpn or socks or anything is better than nothing, slow speeds occur from many reasons, try qbittorent on a fast sock5 to protect yourself bro. Good luck :_:)

Is it ok if i jump in here?
Brand new to the site and have come from a private tracker where i found it near impossible to get decent seeding, even on new torrents!
I am using Nord at the minute and only recently found out that port forwarding isnt supported. :_:O

I use Nord but do port forwarding through my physical router.   Never used a private tracker but I think public trackers are usually a little slow on the seeding side compared to private.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I recently switched from PureVPN to Mullvad VPN and i must say i am impressed. Port Forwarding works like a charm, they are fast, transparent, and i always have stable connections

But that port will never be open on Nords side, so in this instance, the peer you're connected to must have their port open in order for you to seed to them.
I have found that with public trackers i can seed more.

Also, someone correct me if am wrong about the port forwarding. :_:?

Have just switched to Torguard, along with wireguard, and binded qbittorrent, seems stable so far.

I use Private Internet Access VPN for a few years now, inludes Port Forwarding.
Never had issues, very stable, good dl/up speed, so I'm very happy with PIA  :_:)

I Have Been Using Surfshark Vpn So Far no issues at all.
It Is Definitely the best vpn for linux as it is one of only a few VPN providers with a native Linux GUI:Image error

Switched from NordVPN to Mullvad like a year ago.

Gotta say, mullvad is amazing,

No need to share any details with them, no name, mailadres or whatsoever, just click a button and u get an random Number u dont even need to setup a password. You can pay however you want, even cash.

p2p allowed on all servers. and for me: i barely lose any of my speed.

I highly recommend using Windscribe, especially over something sketchy like Nord.. They don't have a good track record.

Agreed. I have been using Windscribe for a few years now and was lucky enough to get a lifetime license when they were doing a giveaway. A lot of extra features beyond the basic protection. Highly recommended.

I changed from ExpressVPN to Mullvad. Way better. You get an account number and no need to give them your details and it's 5 Euro/month, every month. Much cheaper than ExpressVPN. Has WireGuard built in. Little to no speed loss.

I don't like NordVPN.

Just visit Restoreprivacy.com (ignore the shill reviews) and focus on the negative comments. The site has become a shill site for NordVPN and negative comments/feedback are filtered on average 50:1.

For those who aren't aware, NordVPN is heavily monetized through affiliate schemes, referrals, and ads. Their GUI leaves a lot to be desired and it can be very confusing. There are firewall concerns too and the app will run in the background whether you want it on or not. NordVPN keeps on removing data centres (individual servers within a server, so to speak). For instance, Canada had about 100+ data centres scattered between all its regions: Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver a few years ago. Now, they only have 10.

PIA and IP Vanish were  very popular many years ago but has since become undesirable given its poor speeds and more.

In addition to Mullvad, consider Windscribe. They have a both free and premium option.

Additionally, many shills will try to discourage people from opting for a VPN and instead encourage avoiding tormenting altogether and use Real Debrid or Premiumize (for Kodi) just to name a few.  On the opposite side, many will say you need a VPN to stream content, but in most jurisdictions it's not usually unless you need to unlock region specific steams.

i like to play around with all vpns they all have good and bad points you just need to find what works best for you. if you login with an outdated browser you can install any vpn using hacked logins without it sending the owner a verification email. same as netflix logins, old browser works perfectly for logins that have been tried 100 times lol.

you probably on your 2nd or 3rd subscription then can get like 3 and half years of it for the price of what some charge for 6 months

ive been using it few years now its great is lots of countries that use port forwarding it runs just like it would without a vpn with that enabled.. only issue is when using google it sometimes makes you keep doing not a robot checks
