 | Hey! I thought it was crazy funny. Dwayne Johnson & that gal (Pants). LOL. & plenty of adventure, eye candy, romance, action, star studded cast too. Reminded me of Indiana Jones a bit. My only pet peeve was the climatic fight scene seemed to lack proper lighting. Anyway Disney knocks another one out of the park! |

| Howdy peeps! I agree with manvantar . Indiana Jones vibe - and I also thought it was REALLY funny. If you have kids, this is a peach.But I'm afraid much of the humor will be lost on people for whom English is a second language. Lots of subtle jokes with double meanings, which may lose some of their punch in the subtitles. Here's an example of that in a line from The Rock: We're headed into cannibal territory, which is a very bad place to 'be headed'. i.e., 'beheaded' vs. 'be headed'. If you don't 'get the jokes', you will probably not enjoy this. And finally, keep in mind that this is a Disney 'feel good' adventure movie. If you accept that, and your English is up to snuff, you'll dig it. Good chemistry between Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, top-shelf FX and exotic tropical sets make this a fun ride through the jungle. Metallica's 'Nothing Else Matters' as the theme song was a nice added touch. A/V is excellent, as usual. Thank you very much, GalaxyRG. 🥂 |
