Additional information : The collection "150 Favorite Melodies" is made up of musical works or fragments thereof, which are among the best that composers wrote between the 17th century and the middle of the 20th century. This collection makes it possible to trace all the changes in musical forms that took place from Pachelbel's "Canon" to the Viennese operetta, throughout Europe: from Spain to Hungary, from Italy to England and from France to Germany and Austria. This collection is one of the most extensive ever published and can be considered almost as a catalogue of the masterpieces of classical music. It is an excellent selection of famous works, fragments from symphonies, quartets, sonatas, operas and ballets. Of course, not everything collected here is just fragments: a number of works, such as "Country Gardens" by P. Grainger, "Serenade" by Franz Schubert or "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Rimsky-Korsakov, are presented in their entirety. However, being aware of the limitations of this edition, we have recorded those parts of the works that characterize them best and brought them fame. Such, for example, is the popular "Love Theme" from "Romeo and Juliet" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The high qualification of sound engineers and recording masters frees you from the fear that this or that work will break off at the most unexpected moment.
All works are performed by famous musicians, soloists and orchestras and are selected in such a way that you will get the best idea of the works of the most famous composers.
