Judith Ivey as Martha Mitchell during the period that Mitchell's
husband, John Mitchell, was Richard Nixon's Attorney General.
Martha started leaking verifiable Watergate details to the press
once she saw that John was becoming a scapegoat. Nixon's
henchmen revealed that she was an alcoholic to discredit her.
Her husband, still loyal to Nixon, and 'others', so the play says,
held her drugged. But it was too late ...
Nixon said to Frost that Martha did as much damage to him as Deepthroat.
