Argerich has multiple recordings for both songs, but DG's masterpiece, which was the first session recording, will be revived with high sound quality this time. Especially Schumann has many recordings, including live performances, such as the 1992 recording with Harnoncourt (TELDEC) and the 2001 live recording with Myung-Whun Chung (DG. Available on the Tower Planning Board PROA232). , Argerich is particularly good at it, and as you know, all of them are wonderful performances, but this 1978 album is the first co-starring board with his sworn friend Rostropovich, who continued to co-star after that. It is a highly acclaimed album as an ideal image of a concerto created by mutual sympathy and sharing between geniuses. Argerich was 37 years old at the time of the recording, and even though the fierce passion that has continued since his debut remains at the root, the piano, conductor, and orchestra are mixed together to create this masterpiece of romanticism. It is characterized by that. Argerich never walks alone, and rather than lively, he plays with passion, which is a charm that other records do not have. Also, the entanglement between the piano and the orchestra is exquisite, and the ensemble is wonderful. The existence of Rostropovich is still big there, and rather than supporting it brilliantly, the expression as a whole is made one or two times larger at an extremely high level, making it a truly trinity of performances.
