Plot:
Ottone and Savio, wanderers from Etruria, find themselves on the shores of Ancient Greece in search of bread and adventures. Pretending to be exhausted, they are rescued by Paris and Helen and taken to the palace of Menelaus. The welcome is propitious to take advantage of the lavish lunches and beautiful women, not even excluded Elena, wife of the sovereign who will be kidnapped by Paris and taken to Troy. When he reaches the palace of Ulysses, which recognizes the two vagabonds, they are driven out and, after other adventures, they reach the palace of Priam .

avatarQui si fa sul serio !!! Dopo Chaucer, Boccaccio è il turno di Omero, e con Brescia si torna al sottogenere "Sexy Peplum", o come lo chiamano da altre parti "Sword and Sandals"...anche se "Le guerriere..." di Young ed il precedente "Le Amazzoni..." sempre di Alfonso Brescia, specialista dei Peplum, avevano già fatto capire che dalle tuniche i seni sbalzano fuori più velocemente che dai ricchi drappi del Medio Evo. Ma questa è una commedia, seguito di "Poppea" con Don Backy che riprende il ruolo di Otone e Peter Landers nei panni di Savio, 2 marioli etruschi che arrivano sulle spiagge iliache, e che subito incontrano la splendida Elena del titolo, Christa Linder :_love, vi ho già detto che la amo vero ? Comunque Paride è Howard Ross/Renato Rossini nell'insolita veste di personaggio delicato ed amorevole, lui che di solito passa dal truce al super-cattivone, anche lui veteranissimo dei Peplum, poi Puponr de Luca un bofochiante Menelao, e Margaret Rose Keil, qui bruna, per pareggiare il conto delle tedesche, come l'altera Clitennestra, "Baffone" Pazzafini, poi una stuola di fisiconi italici come Torrisi, anche lui con quei 20 titoli tra Maciste ed Ercole, e donne dalla provenienza sconosciuta, vedete lo screen, probabilmente nord europea, che tappavano i buchi negli innumerovoli Decameronici, visto la grave insufficenza italica di bionde con un seno decente...senza ritrosie a mostrarlo. Il film è decente perchè la Linder :_love e la Keil basta guardarle...ma già Don Backy non è quel comico da strapparsi i capelli, Peter Landers è terribile...la release è buona, il film era già stato tagliato in Censura di quasi 10', dalla versione VHS di quasi 94' qui ne mancano altri 2...ma cosa vuoi farci ? Brescia lascerà da parte il Peplum solo un anno, per poi tornarci nel buffo Karate/Peplum "Superbotte".

Chaucer...done! Boccaccio...done! Homer...done !!! Veteran Sword and Sandals Alfonso Brescia directed this sexy comedy with a pair of Shatzy, Linder and Kiel, and Don Backy, sequel of "Poppea..." with a bunch of veterans of Cinecittà, and some uncredited scantly clad beauties
